VEMS 2022 Opening Ceremony
The Virginia Emergency Management Symposium 2022 was the first in-person VEMA conference since 2019. This is the opening ceremony that was held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Marriott Norfolk Waterside.
The Virginia Emergency Management Symposium 2022 was the first in-person symposium held by VEMA since March 2019. This is the Opening Ceremony with Host Erin Sutton, Deputy State Emergency Coordinator with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. The ceremonies included welcomes from the Vice Mayor of Norfolk, VA, Martin Thomas, JR. It also included welcomes from:
- VEMA President Bobby Gelormine
- VDEM State Coordinator Shawn Talmadge
- Virginia Public Safety and Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Maggie Cleary
It was great being in-person again after a hiatus.
